PRE-ADMISSION SCREENING AND RESIDENT REVIEW (PASRR) TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE
TAC, through a subcontract with IBM Watson Health, has been providing ongoing technical assistance on behalf of the Pre-Admission Screening and Resident Review Technical Assistance Center (PTAC), funded by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services, to assist states that may need guidance on their PASRR programs. The federally-required PASSR is intended to help ensure that individuals with serious mental illness and/or intellectual disabilities are not inappropriately placed in nursing facilities for long-term care. TAC specifically provides consultation to Region VI states (Arkansas, Louisiana, New Mexico, Oklahoma, and Texas) to assist with PASRR implementation.
