CALIFORNIA DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH CARE SERVICES - TRIBAL MEDICATION-ASSISTED TREATMENT

Under contract to the California Department of Health Care Services, TAC is providing technical assistance (TA) and facilitation support for the state's Tribal Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) Project. This project is designed to meet the specific prevention, treatment, and recovery needs of California's American Indian and Alaska Native (AI/AN) residents, and is funded through California's State Targeted Response (STR) and State Opioid Response (SOR) grants from the U.S. Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA). TAC’s TA includes facilitation and TA for Tribal MAT Project contractors; development of a communications toolkit; conducting a scan of effective state and tribal substance use disorder strategies; and recommendations for future efforts to mitigate the opioid crisis in California's AI/AN communities.
