How Can TAC Help Strengthen Your Continuum of Care?
Download this one-pager.
Progress toward preventing and ending homelessness is achieved through a community's strategic use of resources, system-wide adoption of Housing First strategies, and successful implementation of a robust Coordinated Entry System. TAC works with Continuums of Care (CoCs) to strengthen their procedures and maximize resources by leveraging mainstream service and housing programs — improvements that expand opportunities for CoCs to end homelessness in their communities.
There is increasing awareness that different approaches work better for different subpopulations; TAC's consultants include experts on addressing chronic, youth, family, and Veteran homelessness.
TAC's customized technical assistance includes:
- Helping to design, finance, and implement comprehensive sustainable strategies to expand permanent supportive housing, rapid re-housing, and homelessness prevention programs, including with systems mapping.
- Providing expert guidance on the role of prevention and diversion.
- Reviewing CoC funding applications and educating applicants about reallocation and scoring procedures.
- Strengthening governance and structures, including policies and procedures development.
- Facilitating partnerships between providers, government agencies, and other stakeholders to leverage mainstream affordable housing and service resources to address homelessness.
- Improving coordinated entry systems and maximizing the use of master lists.
- Planning and implementing landlord engagement strategies.
