This January and February, VA is sponsoring free workshops to review the grant application for community organizations interested in applying for funds recently announced in the NOFA, released on January 14th, 2014 . $600 million has been made available to community agencies to assist very-low income Veterans and families who are homeless or at imminent risk of homelessness. $300 million of the available funds will be targeted to 75 priority communities nationwide over a three year period. These funds are offered through the Supportive Services for Veteran Families (SSVF) program, a homeless prevention and rapid re-housing program.
The workshops will be held in Portland, San Diego, Los Angeles, Phoenix, Las Vegas, Atlanta, Orlando, and New York City.
