The U.S. Interagency Council on Homelessness (USICH) recently launched The Solutions Database which is a searchable on-line database containing short profiles of important practices and programs from around the country, tips for replicating and information about results, as well as links to more information or resources that federal, state, and local partners can use to further their collaborative efforts to end homelessness.
The database includes several types of profiles including:
- Evidence-Based Practices (EBPs) that have been well-documented and implemented in a variety of locations and settings.
- Promising Practices that have been implemented in several places and there is some evidence to show that these practices produce good outcomes.
- Model Programs that have been implemented in one or more communities, and these programs have demonstrated positive results.
- Emerging Approaches which are programs or practices that offer promising solutions aligned with the goals of USICH's Federal Strategic Plan on Homelessness, Opening Doors, and seem likely to produce good results, but more time and evidence is needed to demonstrate their impact.
