The U.S. Interagency Council on Homelessness (USICH) and the U.S. Departments of Labor (DOL) and Housing and Urban Development (HUD), along with the Butler Family Fund, recently released a new report highlighting strategies to integrate employment and housing strategies to prevent and end homelessness. Partnerships for Opening Doors shares lessons learned from federal partners, national organizations, and 11 communities who participated in the Partnerships for Opening Doors Summit.  The report summarizes the employment, training, and career development needs of people experiencing homelessness, provides examples of ways communities have successfully coordinated employment and homelessness assistance programs, and makes recommendations regarding how the federal government can best support communities in these efforts.

TAC, in partnership with Advocates for Human Potential, has been tasked by HUD to provide additional technical assistance to the 11 summit communities and Baltimore to help advance their efforts to integrate employment and homeless services.
