On Tuesday, May 14, 2013, TAC Executive Director Kevin Martone will deliver a workshop at the Nebraska Statewide Behavioral Health Conference- Success, Hopes, and Dreams 2013: Facing Challenges, Creating Solutions, Celebrating Recovery. The workshop, titled 'State Approaches to Community Integration', will present an overview of experiences and trends in how states are approaching community integration for people with mental illness.  Included in the presentation will be a discussion of the Americans with Disabilities Act and the U.S. Supreme Court's Olmstead decision and how the law is being applied in states.  Also provided will be best practice approaches to serving individuals in integrated, community settings, and the various issues that states consider in supporting community integration.
