TAC Receives New Funding to Help Communities Address Homelessness
The U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) recently awarded the Technical Assistance Collaborative, Inc. (TAC) $2 million in technical assistance and capacity building to help local communities across the country better understand their homeless challenge and successfully carry out comprehensive and sustainable "place-based" development and revitalization strategies.
The funds are provided through HUD's Office of Community Planning and Development (CPD) and will be used by TAC to provide the highest level of performance among HUD grantees and to improve data collection and reporting by Continuums of Care (CoC). TAC's technical assistance will result in increased access to mainstream resources by homeless individuals and families and improved efficiency in the administration of federal homeless resources.
