TAC Receives $2 million HUD OneCPD Plus TA & Capacity Building Award
The U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) recently awarded the Technical Assistance Collaborative, Inc. (TAC) $2 million under OneCPD Plus: Technical Assistance (TA) and Capacity Building (OneCPD+) program competition. OneCPD+ offers TA and capacity building in a number of community development, affordable housing and special needs aspects. A prime focus of TAC's TA under this agreement with HUD will be to assist with implementation of the Section 811 Project Rental Assistance (PRA) Demonstration Program.
The PRA Demoawards rental assistance funds to state housing agencies that have formed partnerships with state Medicaid and health and human services agencies to provide integrated affordable housing for extremely low-income persons with disabilities requiring long-term services and supports in the community. PRA funds are used to set aside supportive units in affordable housing complexes whose capital costs are funded through Low-Income Housing Tax Credits, HOME funds, or other sources.
In 2012, TAC also received $2.75 million in HUD TA & capacity building funds to assist states and local communities to meet the needs of very low-income homeless people, including chronically homeless individuals, veterans, and families.
