Kristina Hals Rejoins TAC as Part of SSVF TA Team
TAC is pleased to announce that Kristina Hals has rejoined TAC. Ms. Hals, a TAC Senior Associate, will be part of the team providing TA, training and consultation, and product development under TAC's grant with the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) to provide TA for the Supportive Services for Veteran Families (SSVF) Program.
Ms. Hals has 18 years of experience in the homelessness services and supportive housing fields working for direct service and intermediary, capacity building organizations and as an independent consultant. To the SSVF technical assistance team, she brings content expertise in the prevention and rapid re-housing arenas as well as skills in consulting, training, developing tool kits, facilitating forums, and providing direct TA support. In her previous five years with TAC, she was lead consultant with the City of Boston in designing its Homelessness Prevention and Rapid Re-Housing (HPRP) Program.
More recently, as a private consultant with the Massachusetts Interagency Council on Housing and Homelessness (ICHH), Kristina assisted HPRP entitlement cities intent on improving the impact of their homelessness prevention and re-housing models. In Massachusetts, she also evaluated a set of state funded pilot innovations designed to prevent family homelessness using new approaches and cross-sector partnerships. Other key projects in recent years include authorship of 10 Year Plans to End Homelessness in cities and counties across the U.S., creating and conducting trainings in the HUD Continuum of Care arena, and developing tools for building trauma-informed care best practice into homelessness services.
