State of the Nation's Housing Report Released

Harvard’s Joint Center for Housing Studies has released its annual assessment of the nation’s housing outlook, summarizing important trends in the economics and demographics of housing. Among its observations about the affordable housing needs of low-income renters, the 2016 report notes that ”federal assistance reaches only a quarter of those who qualify, leaving nearly 14 million households to find housing in the private market where low-cost units are increasingly scarce.”
