TAC is pleased to announce that Sherry Snyder has joined the firm as a Senior Consultant. Sherry brings more than 30 years experience in management and administration in the public behavioral health system. Most recently, Sherry was a Senior Consultant with Health Management Associates, a national health and human services consulting firm.  

Sherry possesses a broad range of experience in state and county level behavioral health systems and Medicaid financing. Sherry previously served as Acting Deputy Secretary for the Pennsylvania Department of Public Welfare, Office of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services (OMHSAS) where she had executive oversight of the state's public behavioral health system, including a $3.8 billion budget and a staff of 4,000. 

"We are very happy to have Sherry join TAC in a senior level position. Her government experience in behavioral health is critical to TAC's mission of helping state and county government design and implement systems and services that work for people," said TAC Executive Director, Kevin Martone.  

Snyder's experience includes design, implementation and oversight of Pennsylvania's managed Medicaid behavioral health carve-out, downsizing and consolidation of state psychiatric hospitals, development of community mental health and substance abuse service delivery systems and integrated community living options, statewide policy development, program analysis, and program certification and licensing requirements.
