SAMSHA Announces Funding Opportunity for Project LAUNCH

The Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) recently announced that grants totaling $51 million will be awarded to promote the wellness of young children. Linking Actions for Unmet Needs in Children's Health (Project LAUNCH) aims to ensure that all children have the opportunity to reach their developmental potential and enter school with the skills that will enable them to succeed. Grants will be awarded to states and territorial governments, as well as federally recognized American Indian and Alaska Native tribes and tribal organizations to address the physical, social, emotional, cognitive, and behavioral aspects of development for children from birth to eight years old.  Applications will be accepted until March 3, 2014.
