SAMHSA Requests Comments on Uniform Block Grant Application
On October 10, 2012 the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) published a request for comments in the Federal Register on the FY 2014-15 Uniform Application for the Mental Health Block Grant and the Substance Abuse Block Grant. Commenters are encouraged to send comments to the SAMHSA Desk Officer at the Office of Information and Regulatory Affairs, Office of Management and Budget via email at: OIRA_Submission@omb.eop.gov.
Comments are due by November 9th, 2012. The Block Grants are a major source of federal funding available to states to help them develop prevention, treatment, recovery supports and other services that will supplement services covered by Medicaid, Medicare and private insurance.
