SAMHSA Announces Funding for Consumer Network Grants

On January 17, 2013, the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) announced they are accepting applications for Statewide Consumer Network Grants.  The purpose of the grant funding is to develop the capacity of consumer-run organizations to promote a recovery-focused and resiliency-oriented care delivery system. Applicants may submit requests for up to $70 million annually, for a period of 1 - 3 years, for activities focused on promoting wellness, integrated care, health care reform, or a trauma-informed approach to care.  Eligible applicants are consumer-led organizations who do not currently receive funding through 2012-2015 funding cycle of the Statewide Consumer Network Grants.
