TAC recently welcomed three new Associates who will work on various federally-funded technical assistance (TA) projects addressing affordable housing and homeless issues among individuals and families including Veterans:

Lauren Knott, M.S.W., comes to TAC with over five years of experience in policies and practices related to affordable and permanent supportive housing and extensive knowledge of HUD programs serving low-income populations. At TAC, Lauren now plays a critical role in providing technical assistance to homeless planning groups and service providers, serving as a resource to the community on the new Continuum of Care (CoC) Program. Prior to joining TAC, Lauren worked at the North Carolina Housing Coalition on their statewide policy initiatives, and at a homeless services agency providing technical assistance to shelter providers to improve their permanent housing search programs.

Douglas Tetrault has over five years of experience working in the nonprofit sector with a primary focus on issues related to homelessness, permanent supportive housing, rapid re-housing, homelessness prevention and healthcare. He has experience in administering federal and state contracts, coordinating the development and delivery of housing-based services, performing provider-based program evaluations, developing best practices, and analyzing related public policy and legislative issues. At TAC, Doug is responsible for managing a multi-year federal grant with the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) for its Supportive Services for Veterans Families (SSVF) Technical Assistance (TA) program. Prior to joining TAC, Doug worked as the Program Manager at the Massachusetts Housing and Shelter Alliance where he was in charge of the administration, management and evaluation of a wide range of publicly funded housing and service programs throughout Massachusetts. Doug has also worked in other nonprofit capacities and was an intern for the U.S. Senate Judiciary Committee where he researched legislative issues related to human rights and advocacy law.

Samantha Rudnick, M.P.H., has been working with the homeless and low-income communities in Boston, MA for the last several years. She managed Boston's ESG Rapid Re-Housing Program where she helped design and streamline the program, developed protocols and strategies to successfully transition hundreds of households from homelessness to stable housing, and worked closely with local area partners to outreach and target the homeless community. At TAC, Samantha provides direct on-site monitoring of VA homelessness assistance grantees and provides guidance to grantees on program compliance matters. Prior to her work as the City of Boston's Rapid Re-Housing Program Manager, Samantha worked as a housing advocate helping homeless women to maneuver the affordable housing system.
