New IOM Report on Evidence-Based Standards for Psychosocial Interventions Released
The Institute of Medicine (IOM) recently released a report titled "Developing Evidence-Based Standards for Psychosocial Interventions for Mental Disorders." The report is the result of an expert committee convened by IOM to identify key steps to close the gap between what is known regarding evidence-based interventions and standard practice in treating mental health and substance use disorders. The committee, which included TAC Senior Researcher Jonathan Delman, and the ensuing report proposes a framework to promote consistent use of evidence-based interventions to improve quality of care.
