CMS Issues Guidance on LTSS Eligibility Using MAGI
The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) recently issued a State Medicaid Director letter to address how Medicaid Long Term Services and Supports (LTSS) rules will apply to individuals who are eligible for Medicaid under Modified Adjusted Gross Income (MAGI) eligibility rules. Specifically the letter offers information about the application of liens, adjustments and recoveries, transfer-of-asset rules, and post-income eligibility income rules to individuals who are eligible for Medicaid under MAGI.
