ACF Announces Funding for Street Outreach Program for Homeless Youth

The Administration for Children & Families (ACF), a division of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) recently announced that it will be awarding approximately $2.3 million in grants for education and prevention of the sexual abuse of runaway, homeless, and street youth. These grants are part of the Street Outreach Program (SOP), which aims to assist homeless youth by funding street-based services to prevent sexual abuse, prostitution, or sexual exploitation. Grants will be awarded to public and non-profit private entities with priority given to organizations that have experience in providing shelter and services to runaway, homeless, or street youth.  The closing date for grant applications is May 12, 2014.
