TAC is providing technical assistance and consultation to the Nebraska Department of Health & Human Services Division of Behavioral Health (DBH) to support community integration for consumers of behavioral health services. This includes working with DBH to understand current trends in how states are designing, financing, and implementing programs that support community integration for people with behavioral health and other disabilities, and relevant challenges and opportunities including the current litigation climate. As part of this work, TAC is conducting an analysis of the Nebraska behavioral health system's strengths and challenges for community integration by examining available services and funding sources, housing availability and resources, and workforce issues. TAC will also provide a report containing general recommendations regarding program models, financing opportunities, training, and collaboration with other state agencies and stakeholders to support community integration for consumers of behavioral health services.
