TAC Hosting 2015 Convening of HUD Section 811 PRA Program Grantees

Tuesday, October 27, 2015

This week, on October 28-29, TAC will be hosting a convening of HUD Section 811 Project Rental Assistance (PRA) program grantees in Washington, DC. The PRA program awards rental assistance funds to state housing agencies that have formed partnerships with state Medicaid and health and human services agencies to provide integrated affordable housing for extremely low-income persons with disabilities who require long-term services and supports in the community. To date, 28 states and the District of Columbia have received PRA program awards, amounting to $218 million for the creation of 7,500 units of permanent supportive housing.

The convening is designed to facilitate peer-to-peer learning opportunities among grantees. The agenda also features panels and roundtable discussions with HUD staff and key policymakers representing state housing, Medicaid, Money Follows the Person (MFP), behavioral health, and intellectual and developmental disabilities agencies, and other eligible target populations for the program including individuals experiencing homelessness.
